Bears’ Tyrique Stevenson literally stole the ball to force fumble vs. Cowboys

Tyrique Stevenson is mostly known for a miscue to this point in his NFL career. The Chicago Bears defensive back went viral last year for celebrating on the field as the Washington Commanders were in the process of throwing a game-winning Hail Mary. Stevenson’s career feels like it’s been on shaky ground ever since the Hail Mary, but after fellow corner Jaylon Johnson was ruled out indefinitely with a groin injury, Chicago needs him to step up big time if the team is going to save its season from an 0-2 start.

Stevenson is off to a good start in Week 3 vs. the Dallas Cowboys. As Dallas was driving on their first possession of the game, Stevenson just ripped the ball away from Javonte Williams after a long run. A Bears defensive back invented the Peanut Punch, but this is something even wilder to watch. He just … stole the ball right away from him. Watch the play here:

The Bears got the ball back and Caleb Williams immediately threw a long touchdown pass to Rome Odunze.

Chicago has looked awful in its 0-2 start, but maybe Stevenson’s forced fumble was the vibe change Chicago needed.
