Barbie Ferreira introduced a dose of polish to sportswear at Emporio Armani’s “Stronger With You” Parfum fragrance launch party on Thursday in Venice Beach, Calif., pairing a navy EA7 zip-front track jacket and matching wide-leg trousers with black patent leather sandals.
The set, emblazoned with the EA7 Gymnasium logo, was anchored by minimalist, strappy sandals with a low block heel and a glossy finish.

Ferreira’s footwear featured a minimalist silhouette with a thin strap across the toes and a low block heel — the glossy patent texture offering subtle contrast to the matte softness of her outfit. The open-toe sandals gave a nod to eveningwear, elevating the casual base with a refined, almost retro edge.
Reflecting on fragrance and memory, Ferreira told WWD that, “The smell of garlic — my mom’s a chef, my whole family has chefs — so the smell of garlic cooking,” is a particularly strong connection. “The smell of a churrasco, because I’m Brazilian, so the grill is always nostalgic to me. I like to wear perfumes for different projects, so every time I smell it, it brings me back to where I was.”
On her perfume application ritual, she added, “I like to do it around my neck, I tap on my wrist, sometimes I walk through it; I don’t want to be super-strong in it, so maybe I’ll do one or two things.”
Also in attendance, Jurnee Smollett chose a black leather sheath with sculpted panels and a front zip. The sleeveless silhouette featured a square neckline and structured seams that emphasized the waist. Her footwear — pointed-toe suede stilettos — offered a matte counterweight to the dress’s high-shine finish, maintaining the overall monochrome palette while introducing a subtle shift in texture.

Smollett’s pumps lent a subtle tonal shift that kept the monochrome palette dynamic. Paired with her zippered sheath, the choice suggested a deliberate interplay of textures, bridging structured tailoring with the softer finish of her understated heel. The black suede stilettos featured a low vamp and angular toe box.
The event, held just steps from the Venice Beach boardwalk, featured custom-built fragrance bars, immersive installations and a performance by Benson Boone. Guests enjoyed DJ sets from Channel Tres and Mau P, along with a Don Julio tequila tasting.
The evening celebrated Emporio Armani’s new Stronger With You Parfum — the latest addition to its viral men’s fragrance franchise. Emporio Armani Fragrances capped the night by gifting guests the new Stronger With You Parfum — an amber-vanilla scent intertwining chestnut, leather and spice. It retails for $130 for 100ML on sephora.com.
