Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on and the action will conclude on Monday night with the Arizona Cardinals visiting the Dallas Cowboys at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.
The Cardinals are coming off their bye week and with a five-game losing streak, they have to immediately lock in to keep any hope for the postseason alive. Running back Bam Knight emerged as the team’s top tailback prior to the break and as long as he stays healthy, he could continue to be a central figure of the offensive gameplan moving forward.
Below, we’ll go over Knight’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 9.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals RB Bam Knight
Knight took 14 carries for 57 yards in the Cardinals’ loss to the Packers two weeks ago and it marked the second straight game where he was on the field for at least 45% of the offensive snaps. The Cards desperately needed some running back reinforcements with both James Conner and Trey Benson going down with their respective injuries and the third-year back stepped to the plate to fill the void.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed this weekend that Knight will handle RB1 duties and with starting quarterback Kyler Murray once again sidelined, it will be vital for him to put together another solid performance for the offense. A good performance here could make him a permanent staple out of the backfield for the rest of the season, even after Benson’s return next week.
Start or sit in Week 9 PPR leagues?
Start. This is a got to have it game for both teams here and Knight will have the benefit of going up against a Cowboys defense that is giving up an average of 23.2 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season. The third-year back has a chance to eat at Jerry World on Monday, so I’d go ahead and slot him in a Flex spot.
