Augustinus Bader Celebrates Paris Pop-Up Created by Harry Nuriev

FUTURE PERFECT: Augustinus Bader celebrated its first retail collaboration, a futuristic pop-up created by interior architect and furniture designer Harry Nuriev, at its Palais-Royal boutique with a cocktail there Thursday evening.

Attendees included Lou Doillon, Sarah Andelman, Vincent Darré, Catherine Baba, Agnès Boulard (aka Mademoiselle Agnès), Elie Top, Laura Smet and Zar Amir-Ebrahimi.

For Boulard, it was a meta moment to be at the brand’s boutique. That’s because in episode four, season four of the Netflix hit “Emily in Paris,” she acted the part of Augustinus Bader’s worldwide communications manager.

“I’m also in a series called ‘La Maison,’” Boulard continued, of a new Apple TV+ 10-episode series, with Lambert Wilson and Carole Bouquet, out Friday. (Think “Succession” meets the world of fashion.)

“It’s a story between two families — very realistic,” Boulard said.

In it, Boulard plays her past alter ego, fashion journalist Mademoiselle Agnès. In real life, alongside acting, Boulard is starting to work on a documentary about fashion and cinema.

Amir-Ebrahimi has gotten recent accolades for the film “Tatami,” which she codirected and acted in.

“I just finished a film by a Franco Armenian director, Tamara Stepanyan,” Amir-Ebrahimi said. Camille Cottin also stars in that movie, which was shot in Armenia.

“I’m leaving for another film by a Franco Syrian director now,” Amir-Ebrahimi continued, ticking off others in the pipeline, including “L’effacement,” directed by Karim Moussaoui. “I have my production company, so we are developing an evening with Haut et Court.”

Fashion-wise, Amir-Ebrahimi might see the Hermès show on Sept. 28.

“It’s the only day I can,” she said.

Nuriev plans to see some catwalk displays, too, including Acne, Victoria Beckham and Balenciaga. Alongside working on the Augustinus Bader store, he’s also just done a pop-up for Caron.

“We’re doing a project for Delvaux,” he said. “I’m working with Baccarat, it’s one of my most exciting projects.” That is due for an October release.

Nuriev will also have a solo exhibition during Art Basel Paris, running from Oct. 18 to 20, followed by an exhibition in Shanghai later this year.

“You know what’s beautiful?” he mused. “It is to work with creative people who are behind brands — with people who have dreams and ideas.”

Those ideas might not have an exact shape yet.

“But they want someone to bring it to life and translate their vision into architecture, design and art,” Nuriev continued.

What’s a dream project he has yet to try? “Set design for movies,” Nuriev revealed.

After the cocktail, guests whisked away to L’Italien de la Belle Époque restaurant nearby for a sit-down dinner.
