New Collaboration to Bring Patented Autonomous Delivery Technology to Millions
Arrive AI, a leader in autonomous delivery networks, has announced a major international partnership with Skye Air Mobility, India’s top hyperlocal drone delivery platform. This collaboration aims to scale secure, automated delivery solutions across India, one of the fastest-growing markets for drone technology.
Expanding Drone Delivery Across India
Skye Air currently provides 7-minute drone deliveries in Gurugram, part of the National Capital Region of Delhi, and Bengaluru in Karnataka. The company manages about 6,000 deliveries each day. Through this partnership, Arrive AI and Skye Air will co-develop and install secure mailboxes, known as Arrive Points, throughout the country. The rollout will start with 60 units in Gurugram and expand to other cities as Skye Air grows its network. The companies plan to have 500 Arrive Points in service areas, reaching a New Delhi population of over 33 million.
Dan O’Toole, Founder and CEO of Arrive AI, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “The population density and scalability opportunity – along with huge demand for drone delivery from Indian consumers and governmental policies that encourage drone delivery – creates an unparalleled chance for us to showcase the transformative power of Arrive AI. This isn’t just about delivery; it’s about establishing a universally trusted custody layer for autonomous logistics and allows us to grow rapidly in a one-billion-plus population country that is already moving fast on autonomy.”
Patented Technology and Security
Arrive AI’s Arrive Points are more than just smart mailboxes. They serve as secure, app-accessible mini cross docks, providing a higher level of security than traditional delivery points. These units create a trusted custody layer for real-world networks and allow for asynchronous access, supporting both human and autonomous deliveries.
Arrive AI’s technology is backed by a strong intellectual property portfolio. The company holds eight patents, with several more pending across 22 countries. Its foundational patent for a universal access point was filed just four days before Amazon’s similar patent, giving Arrive AI a first-mover advantage in the smart mailbox space. The technology also includes climate control, safety systems, and integration with smart home devices.
Skye Air’s Vision for the Future
Ankit Kumar, Founder and CEO of Skye Air, explained the importance of infrastructure in scaling drone delivery: “Skye Air is on the forefront of drone delivery technology having built to deliver at scale. The company is already delivering about 200,000 packages on a monthly basis, just in one city. We believe Infrastructure is the most critical piece to scale drone delivery across the country, this is the reason we keep on investing in developing infrastructure. With access of 60-plus residential and commercial complexes in Gurugram, we are poised to shape the future of autonomous deliveries in India.”
Kumar added, “Our partnership with Arrive AI couldn’t have come at a time better than this, when we are scaling up operations and expanding to newer cities such as Bengaluru. Together with Arrive AI’s state-of-the-art product, we are certain to dominate the infrastructure access points. It will make the entire process so much better. We can’t wait to get these units in the field.”
Global Impact and Sustainable Delivery
Kiran Paul, who leads international business development for Arrive AI, played a key role in forming the partnership. He noted, “We anticipate that once we are operating in India and demonstrating the advantages Arrive Points offer, other countries looking to a future of increasing demand for quick, secure, drone-based ecommerce solutions will see the advantage of building Arrive Points into their smart city infrastructure plans.”
Arrive AI expects to deliver the first Arrive Points to Skye Air within 2025. Both companies are committed to sustainable delivery. Each drone delivery by Skye Air reduces carbon emissions by 520 grams compared to traditional methods, saving over 2.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide each month. This partnership will also support future integration with ground-based robotic deliveries.
Arrive AI’s Growing Presence
Arrive AI has recently celebrated its debut on the Nasdaq Stock Market, trading under the symbol ARAI since May 2025. The company’s public listing marks a new chapter, increasing its visibility and access to capital. Arrive AI has raised nearly $12 million through crowdfunding and secured an additional $40 million from institutional investors before its direct listing. The company is focused on building essential infrastructure for autonomous delivery ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on security, tracking, and chain-of-custody controls.
O’Toole reflected on the company’s journey: “This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team and the unwavering support of our day one investors.”
Looking Ahead
The partnership between Arrive AI and Skye Air Mobility is set to transform the landscape of last-mile delivery in India. By combining advanced technology, secure infrastructure, and a shared commitment to sustainability, the two companies are paving the way for the future of autonomous logistics in one of the world’s largest markets.
