Anya Taylor-Joy channeled late couturier Christian Dior‘s “New Look” in a glossy dress for the Grand Dîner du Louvre during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday night.
The “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” star wore a champagne-toned custom midi dress from the French luxury fashion house. Designed with a soft V-shaped neckline, the dress evoked 1950s glamour. A bow featured on one shoulder of the dress’ straps and a formfitting bodice gave way to a full voluminous skirt.

Fabric was slightly gathered at the hip for added definition and movement for the frock. Taylor-Joy added a pair of Dior bow-heeled slingback sandals to complete her attire. Accessories were minimal, while the actress’ glam included her blond hair styled with a side part and makeup highlights including bold brows and a pop of color with a red lip.
Introduced by Christian Dior in the late 1940s, the “New Look” ushered in a movement of feminine silhouettes in post-World War II Europe and America. The silhouette, with a cinched waist and voluminous midi skirt, gained popularity in the 1950s.

The Grand Dîner du Louvre is an annual fundraising gala held during Paris Fashion Week at the Louvre Museum in the City of Light. The 2026 edition of the event raised 1.6 million euros for the museum. “I’ve been wanting to come for ages, but usually fashion week is so chock-a-block that it’s difficult to find museum time,” Taylor-Joy, referencing visiting Paris’ iconic museum, told WWD’s Rhonda Richford at the event.
Taylor-Joy has a close relationship with Dior. The actress was named a global brand ambassador for the French luxury fashion house in October 2021 and has since worn several designs by the storied label. Prior to the Grand Dîner du Louvre, Taylor-Joy attended Dior’s fall 2026 collection.

“Jonathan [Anderson] is such a master of creating experiences that are so sensory — it’s everything. I always feel like I walk out with a really beautiful memory, and that’s really a gift,” the actress said of the French luxury fashion house’s show, designed by creative director Jonathan Anderson.
In March 2022, Taylor-Joy appeared in the Dior Forever campaign alongside Yara Shahidi. “The Queen’s Gambit” star is also an ambassador for Tiffany & Co., appearing recently in the jewelry brand’s 2025 holiday campaign, which debuted last October.
