Anya Taylor-Joy closed the Marrakech International Film Festival in a lingerie-led Tom Ford slip with a direct line to the spring 2026 runway.
The actress marked the festival’s final red carpet on Saturday in Marrakech with a razor-edged Tom Ford silhouette built around sheer construction and lace-trimmed satin. Taylor-Joy, who served on this year’s jury, chose a look from Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford spring 2026 collection — a season WWD described as balancing “light, dark, strong, fragile” while pushing slips and lacework to the front of the house’s evening direction.

Her dress carried that exact tension. Taylor-Joy arrived in a black envers satin slip cut with a straight neckline and anchored by thin, lingerie-style shoulder straps. A laser-cut leather bralette in a triangle shape sat beneath. The bralette’s sharp edges pressed clean lines through the satin, leaving the dress’s sheer upper panels visibly framed. Along the neckline and skirt, tonal lace formed narrow chevrons that broke up the surface in controlled intervals, giving the look its lingerie reference without drifting into embellishment.
The lower portion shifted into full transparency. A sheer black skirt extended from the hips to the floor, finished with alternating lace trims that mirrored the bodice’s chevron pattern. The lace insets ran in alternating directions across the sheer panels, breaking up the black satin with narrow, geometric bands.

She finished the look with the Tom Ford Ankle Strap Sandal, built with a slim toe band and a high ankle strap. She added Tiffany & Co.’s Bird on a Rock Wings Drop Earrings in platinum with diamonds, the matching Bird on a Rock Wings Wide Bangle and a Schlumberger Sixteen Stone Ring.
The runway’s influence sat at the center of the look. As WWD’s Samantha Conti noted, Ackermann “delivered a lineup of dresses with sharp lines and sheer, lace-edged slips and gowns,” a description that aligns directly with the structure on Taylor-Joy’s dress — the sliced chevrons, the exposed bralette and the lace-framed transparency.
Her appearance capped a week of sharply coordinated fashion moments during her jury tenure. After multiple Dior looks — included an archival John Galliano-era dress — and a sequence of saturated and structured silhouettes across the festival, Taylor-Joy’s final turn shifted into Tom Ford’s controlled sheerness — closing the event with a runway-rooted reference point.
