Attending alongside costar Meryl Streep, Hathaway looked to be wearing the Plexi metal cap-toe slingback pumps from Gianvito Rossi — taking on the ongoing clear footwear trend. The style is made from transparent TPU with contrasting metal accenting at the toe, a twist on the classic cap-toe look evocative of Chanel. The shoes also feature a slingback strap with a buckle denoting the brand and a slightly flared stiletto heel. Gianvito Rossi’s clear pump styles are quite popular when it comes to celebrity formal looks, having also been worn by Ciara, Chrissy Teigen and Amal Clooney.

Hathaway’s heels accompanied a look by womenswear designer Susan Fang, specifically the fall 2026 Pastel Air-Flower dress from Fang’s eponymous brand. The pale dress features a structured flared silhouette and delicate ruffling throughout.

Hathaway has worn multiple striking shoe looks amid the “The Devil Wears Prada 2” worldwide press tour, including Schiaparelli Keyhole pumps and thigh-high Stella McCartney boots while in Mexico City.

Notably, a famous thigh-high style was showcased by Hathaway’s character Andy in the first film — “the Chanel boots” were part of her makeover look which stunned her coworkers at Runway magazine. And, of course, this shoe-focused moment in the film became a popular meme.

The long-awaited sequel to the 2006 film is slated for release on May 1, with Andy returning to the fashion magazine as a features editor, once again working with Streep’s Miranda Priestly.
