Wednesday marks the opening of the annual Venice Film Festival, but stars including Angelina Jolie, Jenna Ortega and Sigourney Weaver have already touched down in the Floating City. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” “Joker: Folie à Deux” and “Babygirl” starring Nicole Kidman are among the films premiering at this year’s festival. Actress and Balenciaga spokesmodel Isabelle Huppert presides over the jury.

Jolie put a summertime spin on the trenchcoat, selecting a short-sleeve silhouette. She layered her outerwear over a white top and black satin skirt. A pair of black leather slouch boots and oversize sunglasses completed her ensemble.

Ortega embraced method dressing as she continues her promotional tour for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” channeling Alec Baldwin’s Adam Maitland in a checkered Alessandra Rich blazer with peak lapels, khaki pleated shorts and a red top.
The “Wednesday” actress topped off her look with a black crossbody tote, hoop earrings and a pair of maroon Jimmy Choo platform loafers. Stylist Enrique Melendez dressed Ortega for the occasion.

Weaver evoked Venice’s iconic gondoliers in a black-and-white Chanel ensemble paired with a straw hat. Her look consisted of a double-breasted blazer, wide-leg pleated trousers and a button-up blouse. Her accessories included one of the French label’s quilted flap bags and a belt baring their trademark double C logo.

The actress’ accessories included a top-handle purse and round sunglasses.
