Angela Bassett is keeping up her style streak while promoting her upcoming film “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” in which she portrays the president of the U.S. again after her turn in Netflix’s “Zero Day.” She put a colorful spin on stately dressing for an appearance on “The View” on Tuesday with a pale pink pantsuit set off by a pair of soaring gold platform heels.

Bassett, who discussed on the talk show how she found inspiration for the role in female politicians, modeled a crisp suit look from the label Reiss. The carnation-hued set consisted of a single-breasted blazer with peaked lapels and one button, which Bassett left unfastened, and matching wide-leg trousers. She leaned further into the formal aesthetic with a pristine white button-down tucked into her pants.

Embracing the long-lasting platform shoe trend, Bassett complemented her suit with a pair of high-shine heels from Le Silla. She wore the brand’s Nina style in metallic gold, which served as a festive accent to the pastel hue of her suit. The silhouette makes a bold statement with a platform pointed toe and a 155 mm block heel, which equates to a little more than 6 inches. The upper thins out into a slender strap that wraps around the ankle in a slingback style. With additional stars like Ciara and Demi Lovato wearing Le Silla silhouettes, the Italian footwear brand founded in 1994 has cemented itself as a go-to luxury brand for celebrity high heel fashion statements.

Just yesterday, Bassett modeled a different platform block heel, Christian Louboutin’s Sandaloo style, for an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” The actress has been working with stylist Jennifer Austin for several years, including her “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” era, which has taken her around the world from the Cannes Film Festival to London to New York City. The film is set for theatrical release on Friday.
