Ali Larter Trades Suede Boots for Ruched Bordeaux Pumps in London

Ali Larter doubled down on tonal texture at the “Landman” Season Two U.K. premiere on Sunday, pairing burgundy separates with a matching Bordeaux pump. Styled by Jeanann Williams, the London look centered on material contrast: a crinkled leather stiletto under a sheer cape and structured trousers. The crinkle pump — Studio Amelia’s Rhodes 90 Pump in Bordeaux — was a sharp 180 from the suede over-the-knee boots she wore in Berlin a day prior.

The Rhodes 90 pump appears in Studio Amelia’s Bordeaux colorway with a pointed toe, slim 90mm stiletto and a ruched, elasticated upper that contracts the napa leather into tight folds along the sides and heel. Its low-cut topline reveals more of the foot than her previous booted look — a shift from tall suede volume to a sharper, surface-driven stiletto.

Ruched or elasticized toplines, a close cousin to the textures seen in recent snakeskin-inspired finishes, have been circulating across recent celebrity footwear picks. In September, Ayo Edebiri wore The Row’s Liisa pump in New York, a lambskin style defined by its subtle elastic edge. Sarah Paulson followed in October with Bottega Veneta’s Sofia pump, which uses a close-cut topline to offset runway volume.

The pump also reflects Studio Amelia’s broader fall 2025 direction. Owner and creative director Victoria Allen told the collection developed into “a study on power and silhouette,” with sharper angles and more pronounced textures joining the label’s minimalist base. The brand has been expanding its U.S. presence — including serving as the official women’s footwear sponsor for Eckhaus Latta’s spring 2026 show — while maintaining its commitment to sustainable, chrome-free leathers.

Larter paired the pump with coordinated burgundy pieces from The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel: the cropped Sae Top, floor-length Vivi Cape and tailored Lenny Pants. The cape’s sheer panels introduce movement against the structured trouser line, while the pump provides the look’s only glossy element.

The London stop marks Larter’s second premiere in as many days. She reprises her role as Angela Norris in the second season of the Paramount Plus show, which continues to track the evolving personal and business dynamics around the Norris family arc.
