Alberta Ferretti to Show Fall 2026 Collection at Dubai Fashion Week

DUBAI BOUND: Alberta Ferretti is decamping from Milan to show its fall 2026 collection in warmer climes.

The brand said Thursday it will be the guest designer of the upcoming edition of Dubai Fashion Week, running Feb. 1 to 6 at Dubai Design District.

Creative director Lorenzo Serafini will unveil the new collection with a runway show staged on the opening day, marking the brand’s first full-scale presentation in the Middle East. It is understood that the label will be present at Milan Fashion Week as well, with a format still to be revealed.

“I am delighted to bring the Alberta Ferretti world to Dubai. The city’s energy, its cosmopolitan audience, and its commitment to design excellence make it a natural setting for our debut in the region,” said Serafini, teasing that the collection will reflect “the refined craftsmanship and emotional sensibility that define my vision of the Alberta Ferretti brand.”

Serafini was appointed to the creative helm of the Aeffe Group’s label last year, succeeding the namesake founder of the brand and making his official debut in the new role in February this year. It was a case of internal promotion since Serafini first joined the group in 2014, when Ferretti handed him the design reins of the Philosophy label. As part of the group’s new strategy, the Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini brand was integrated into the Alberta Ferretti line.

The label’s temporary move to Dubai is also seen as “a strategic opportunity that reflects our commitment to expanding the international presence of the brand,” said Aeffe Group’s executive chairman Massimo Ferretti.

“Dubai represents an extraordinary crossroads of cultures, creativity, and global business,” said Ferretti, further expressing his satisfaction for opening the fashion event and “contribute to a platform that continues to shape the future of fashion worldwide.”

Founded by Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council, the event formerly named Arab Fashion Week is known for bringing together homegrown designers, regional talents and international brands. Through the years, it has featured some of the fashion industry’s most prominent names, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Iris van Herpen, Antonio Marras and Roberto Cavalli.

Khadija Al Bastaki, senior vice president of Dubai Design District, part of TECOM Group, said “we are committed to continually expanding our horizons as a key event on the international fashion calendar.”

“Welcoming Alberta Ferretti, whose design legacy embodies grace, sophistication and craftsmanship, is an honor for Dubai Fashion Week and reaffirms the confidence that both prestigious international houses and emerging talents place in Dubai as a leading global hub for fashion and creative excellence,” said Al Bastaki.
