The Eagles have now lost two in a row and hope to keep from making that three when they face the Vikings in Minnesota as 2.5-point road favorites. Their usual No. 1 receiver, AJ Brown, is currently their No. 2 receiver behind Devonta Smith in yardage and receptions, while heβs fifth in fantasy points on the team.
The Eagles have not been as successful with the run this season, as their offensive line has faltered a bit. Thatβs made things tough across the board for their offense. And Brown has not been happy about it. The good news is that he has shown flashes so far, but only has one touchdown and one game over 100 yards, while heβs had four games where he hasnβt topped double digit fantasy points in PPR leagues. But can you sit a player with such a high upside?
Below, weβll go over AJ Brownβs outlook in fantasy football for Week 7.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles, WR, AJ Brown
So far, the Vikings have allowed just five passing touchdowns on the season and rank third best in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Theyβre even better against wide receivers, ranking first in fantasy points allowed. They rank sixth-best in DVOA against the pass and theyβve held Rome Odunze, Drake London, and JaMarr Chase to 50 yards or less, with DK Metcalf as the only strong fantasy game against them.
What we need from Brown is to show us some consistency. Thankfully, he is still getting consistent targets, with 8, 10, 9, 8, and 9 after his Week 1 single target game. If those numbers were down or inconsistent, it would be easier to sit Brown, but as it is, he remains a must start in most leagues.
