One of the more-acclaimed non-original Air Jordan colorways is set to make its first return to stores, and it also happens to be one of the boldest looks for the popular model.
The Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” will release for just the second time this spring. Its bright red, Chicago Bulls-inspired look made its debut in 2013 following the lead of the Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull” from four years prior. Leaks of the reissue began surfacing last year, but the first images of the upcoming sneaker hadn’t materialized until this week.
Red Durabuck claims most of the upper’s territory, including the mesh window atop a black base. The latter color rears its head again through the mustache and laces, as well as a piece of the signature wings and the midsole. Gray forms the eyelet clips, lining, tongue patch and outsole, while white is used for the Jumpman appearances and remainder of the midsole.
Non-original colorways can be hit or miss for Jordan collectors, but the “Toro Bravo” execution benefits from looking like it could have been an original, thanks to its use of the Bulls colors. Even with knowledge of the shoe coming back this year, pairs from 2013 can still go for up to the $500 range on resale platforms such as StockX.
Jordan Brand doesn’t have a model hotter than the Air Jordan 4 at the moment, as Nigel Sylvester’s “Brick by Brick” collaboration and the “Black Cat” colorway were the second and third most-wanted releases on the Snkrs app in 2025. This year will see the original “Bred” edition return after a seven-year hiatus — not counting the leather “Bred Reimagined” pair from last year — as well as brand-new “Lakeshow” and “Flight Club” variants with much promise.
The Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” will release May 2 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $220.
