Jordan Brand is seeing red. Just days after word surfaced on the first-ever return of the Air Jordan 4 Toro Bravo, news has now emerged for the boldest colorway to date for the iconic model’s remastering.
The Air Jordan 4 RM Varsity Red sees its namesake colorway take over nearly the entirety of the sneaker. The only deviations from the color on the suede, leather and mesh sneaker are found on the tongue and heel branding, formed by the Jumpman and Nike Air logos, respectively, as well as icy blue translucent outsole segments at the toe and heel. Red is otherwise applied uniformly, setting it up for comparisons to the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October as all other red-dominant sneakers tend to garner.
Jordan Brand has found itself a hit with the Air Jordan 4 RM, “RM” being short for “Restomod.” The shoe debuted through a collaboration with Nigel Sylvester in the summer of 2024 and has since been given an abundance of colorways, many of which replicate the looks of iconic Air Jordan 4 colorways.
At $155, previously $150, the Air Jordan 4 RM comes in $70 cheaper than its predecessor. Its TPU caging and more durable materials are intended for action sports like BMX, a decision made before Sylvester began work on his collaboration and all the more fortuitous.
Following the success of the remixed Air Jordan 4, the Air Jordan 7 will get its own “Restomod” treatment later this year, dubbed the Air Jordan MVP 92, denoting the year in which the original sneaker released. 2026 is also expected to bring an Air Jordan 3 RM, which could carry a unique name as well and hasn’t yet been seen through leaked images.
The Air Jordan 4 RM Varsity Red is expected to release in the coming months through Jordan Brand’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $155.
