AG Debuts The Art Project Collection of Wearable Art Pieces

AG is getting artistic in its latest collection.

The Los Angeles-based denim brand on Thursday will launch The Art Project, a collection that is designed to transform apparel into wearable art.

Each piece in The Art Project collection of men’s and womenswear features abstract prints in bold colors and innovative form combinations. The collection is carefully color matched and the pattern repetition is also ensured.

“The denim landscape has been somewhat flat for years, so I set out to find fresh inspiration that would bring something unique to the table,” said Yul Ku, owner and chief executive officer of AG. “The Art Project was born from this desire to consistently offer bold, creative pieces that inspire personal expression through wearable art.”

Among the pieces in the collection are utility jackets, boot-cut denim, wide-leg styles, straight-leg fits, trucker jackets and other pieces emblazoned with the bold art-filled prints.

The fall collection includes 26 styles for women and 12 for men, is available in limited quantities, and ranges in price from $175 to $427.

The Art Project Collection will be available for purchase on the company’s website as well as in its 10 retail stores.

AG was founded in 2001 as a premium denim brand and in the years since, it has worked to offer sustainable practices such as ozone technology, laser finishing, solar energy use and water recycling in its collection. Although denim remains the core of the collection, the brand has expanded into other products such as complementary tops, jackets and outerwear.
