Adidas, Edison Chen to Release Superstar Dress Shoe and Qi Flow

Adidas Originals and Clot by Edison Chen are continuing their longstanding partnership in a new collection in honor of Lunar New Year 2026.

The collection, which aims to celebrate Chinese cultural heritage and the Year of the Horse, features footwear and apparel shaped by symbolism, craftsmanship, and contemporary expression.

At the heart of the collection is the Clot Superstar Dress Shoe, a premium reinterpretation of an Adidas Originals silhouette. The shoe features a cowhide horse-print base upper, which directly references the Year of the Horse. It’s then complemented by a leather shell toe, cotton laces with gold lace tips, stitched 3-Stripes and leather tassels. Leather continues through the lining and midsole, while a rubber outsole grounds the silhouette.

A second shoe style comes in the form of the Clot Qi Flow. Inspired by the movement of kung fu, the model features a nylon upper, satin collar, pearl and frog-button closures and an espadrille-inspired outsole.

And apparel extends the narrative through pieces where martial art silhouettes intersect with Western tailoring influences. These include the Clot Track Jacket, crafted from 100 percent cotton twill, and features a Mandarin collar, frog buttons, Western-inspired deco accents across the back, rounded zip pockets, and rope-detailed applied 3-Stripes. Its counterpart, a reimagined Beckenbauer Track Pant, includes a custom LNY woven label and herringbone elastic stirrups.

Outerwear is also included in the drop via the Clot Jacket, which is built from quilted crinkle nylon and insulated with PrimaLoft Gold synthetic fill down. Chen’s selected favorite of the collection, he meticulously arranged the stripes to form a distinctive collar pattern. The style is finished with satin lining, satin braided rope, Concho button closure, and dual snap-button hand pockets.

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Adidas Originals will host a tea ceremony in New York City, on Jan. 27 at Floating Mountain Tea House at 8pm. Open to the public, with six seats available, on a first-come first-serve basis, each ceremony guest will be gifted pieces from the collection before it becomes available worldwide.

The Adidas Originals x Clot Lunar New Year Collection by Edison Chen will be available globally on Jan. 31 on the Confirmed app, Adidas.com, and at select retailers.
