A Few Days in Brooklyn

My mom just came to visit and the (weirdest) best part was…

…I got violently ill (will spare you the gory details!) on Sunday evening and she brought me water and medicine and a very, very cold washcloth for my forehead and I called her “Mommy” and remembered how good it feels to be cared for like a child.

We also saw this perfect vanity plate. When I last renewed my plates, the boys wanted me to do INFTRIZ (“infinite rizz”) but I felt like people would be confused if they rolled up next to us and saw a middle-aged mom driving her VW sport wagon.

My sister also came to NYC to see Andrew Scott in Uncle Vanya! He played all eight characters, and even had a make out scene where he played both people. She said it was miraculous. Funnily enough, my sister’s celeb crush is not Andrew Scott (“his beautiful neck!”) but Anton Chekhov, the Russian playwright who wrote Uncle Vanya and a slew of brutally depressing works. Hey, she knows what she likes!

My friend threw herself a birthday party this weekend and When Harry Met Sally was playing, muted, in the background. Isn’t that a fun touch?

What have you been up to lately? How are people’s gardens coming along? Please share below, if you’d like… xoxoxo

P.S. 10 fun things I’ve noticed in Brooklyn, and my 46th birthday party with lots of chocolate mousse.
