The “Hacks” actress was spotted out in New York City on Thursday displaying the popular shoe style with an outfit formula that can also carry us into the next season. She paired The Row loafers with light-wash, loose-fitting jeans, with a hem that landed right above the shoe. She added a lightweight oversize button-down in a light blue shade to keep it cool with summer colors.

To complete the laid-back look, she opted for The Row Men’s Loafers, which retail for $1,150. The shoes are made from an ultra-glossy calfskin leather with a natural pleating effect around the round toe and delicate tassel detailing. Ruched loafers, which feature gathering along the edge of the shoe while the rest of the upper remains smooth, have been a popular style this year.

The shoes sit on a very slim 0.2-inch heel, which keeps them low and close to the ground. Low-profile loafers have been a hit for both men and women recently as a direct follow-up to the chunky loafer trend of previous years.

The unisex shoe became a model-off-duty favorite for Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber this year and landed among FN’s hottest shoe trends of the summer. Slimmer, low-to-the-ground shoes are taking over both the dress shoe market and the sneaker shoe world, with people leaving behind loftier shoe styles for a more minimalist silhouette.
