Monica Barbaro Wore Three Very Different Pumps in One Day

Monica Barbaro has quietly and steadily been building one of the most enviable shoe collections in Hollywood. The actress is in the middle of her “One Night Only” movie press tour, and on Sunday, she hit the streets of New York City, where the movie takes place, showing off three incredibly different styles of pumps.

While it’s been all about the thong sandals and mules this summer, the “Top Gun: Maverick” star stuck to closed-toe high heels paired with warm-weather-ready ensembles. The actress attended a “One Night Only” conversation at the 92Y on Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Sunday wearing Kallmeyer Callum Barrel Jeans with a white strapless corset top featuring a contrasting black ribbon-tie accent at the bust.

She styled the look with a Dior Small Dior Toujours hobo bag and a pair of Le Monde Béryl x Kim Sion Sable 95 pumps. Designed in collaboration with creative consultant Kim Sion, the Sable leather pumps feature round-toe profiles and 95mm cone heels. They are made from glossy black patent leather with a low-cut vamp that creates a sleek silhouette around the upper and toe box.

For another Sunday look, Barbaro went for a popular shoe choice, opting for the Paris Texas Lidia slingback 105. She wore the shoes in optic white patent leather, which coordinated with her Sandy Liang Remie bra and matching Sandy Liang Clio skirt.

The slingback stands tall on the brand’s signature pin-thin Lidia heel, which measures four inches, along with a lacquered leather sole. The shoes are complete with an elongated, sharp pointed toe and an elastic strap that wraps around the ankle, holding the heels in place.

The “A Complete Unknown” star went for a slightly more casual and flirty look when she picked up a shift L’Industrie Pizza with her “One Night Only” costar Callum Turner to promote the film. For that appearance, she wore a pair of pointed-toe stiletto pumps with a lifted collar in polished black leather.

The high heels are designed with a distinct V-cut vamp and feature a slight concealed platform at the toe box. She paired the shoes with a striped knit scoop-neck tank with contrasting green and navy banding, as well as a belted black leather miniskirt. The shoes gave the look a sharper, more formal finish than a sandal, flat or sneaker would have.

Barbaro and Turner star as Allie and Owen, two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex. Recently dumped Owen and hopeful romantic Allie might be the only two singles in the city looking for more than just a quick encounter. The movie hits theaters on Friday.
