Reebok and Karol G are bringing the vibrant energy of “Tropicoqueta” to a community-focused seasonal campaign called “Born Classic. Worn Together.”
As the next chapter of the “Born Classic. Worn for Life.” platform highlighting Reebok Classics, the campaign starring the Colombian Grammy-winning artist celebrates the communities, personal style and shared experiences that bring different generations together through Reebok’s lifestyle sneaker silhouettes. The project is part of the multiyear partnership between the athletic brand and Karol G which was announced back in January.

Karol G’s album “Tropicoqueta” inspired the visuals for the commercial, shot by Alfred Marroquín in Mexico City. Incorporating the orange hues and color palette of the album, the video spotlights individuals from various walks of life dancing together to the title track of the record. The scene showcases how the sneaker styles transcend trends and become part of shared moments.

Reflecting the campaign, Karol G told FN, “The highlight for me was seeing so many different people come together and celebrating what makes each of us unique. Everyone brought their own energy and perspective, and it was a reminder that style is really about self-expression and connection. That’s what I love most about this campaign. It shows that even though we all have our own stories, there’s something that brings us together.”
Reebok Classic styles, available at Reebok.com and select retailers, include the Club C 85 Vintage, Freestyle Hi, Workout Plus and additional silhouettes crafted in premium garment leather and a range of colorways. For Karol G, the Freestyle Hi stands out as a favorite. She said it has “a special place in [her] life” since she wore the style in school growing up. The style holds even more meaning, thanks to a custom silver pair she’s been wearing on tour in support of the album with a shimmering silver ensemble — a look she says is one of her favorites from the show.

The “Provenza” singer, who has worn everything from Gothic sheer black formal looks at an awards show to colorful Colombian-inspired attire onstage, also explained how her personal journey with fashion unfolded.
“My style has evolved with me. In the beginning, it was more about proving something and creating a certain image, but over time I’ve learned to dress from how I feel and what feels authentic to me,” she said. “Traveling and discovering the world have introduced me to new cultures, textures, and ways of expressing myself, and those experiences have shaped the way I see fashion. Now, it’s not just about the clothes, but about the emotions they hold, the stories they tell, and the shared stories we create through the way we express ourselves.”

When it comes to fashion’s role in her identity as an artist, Karol G sees it as a creative outlet alongside her music, allowing for storytelling, moments of connection and wordless communication.
Her style icons are two women who have left major imprints on the music industry: “I’ve always been inspired by artists like Rihanna and Selena Quintanilla because of the way they use creativity, beauty, and self-expression to define who they are. They both have a unique ability to step outside the box and create their own identity, and that’s something I admire. For me, style is about confidence, authenticity, and having the freedom to express different sides of yourself.”
That freedom is on display on the Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, which began on July 24 in Chicago. Karol G is most excited about engaging with her fans during the world tour.
“I’m so excited to finally sing ‘Tropicoqueta’ together, see all of the different faces in the crowd, and experience the energy that comes from bringing people together through music. Every city, every audience, and every moment will be unique, and I can’t wait to create those memories with my fans.”

Reebok will continue to evolve its “Born Classic. Worn for Life.” platform in coming seasons to showcase the brand’s enduring style and cultural influence in cities from New York City to San Francisco to Berlin and beyond.
