Keke Palmer pulled double designer duty with her New York City Gucci and archival Thierry Mugler looks on Tuesday as part of her “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” appearance.
The “One of Them Days” actress was first spotted sporting a look from Gucci’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection, designed by artistic director Demna. The design was part of the couturier’s debut presentation with the Italian luxury fashion house, following his appointment to the artistic director position in March 2025.

Palmer’s look evoked the “sexy undercurrent” that ran throughout the collection, per Luisa Zargani’s WWD review. The actress wore a brown, long-sleeve cropped turtleneck and coordinated high-waisted midi pencil skirt with shimmering embellishments woven throughout the fabric.
Accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a Gucci clutch with pointed-toe black pumps, the ensemble dripped in modern sensuality. That same verve was featured with Palmer’s “Tonight Show” look — an archival Thierry Mugler little black dress.

With a plunging halter neckline and thigh-high slit, Palmer’s sleeveless dress merged traditional design cues with a contemporary edge. The actress continued to sport her gold hoop earrings and replaced her pointed-toe pumps with a playful peep-toe set.
Stylist Molly Dickson, who curated Palmer’s respective looks and also works with the likes of Sadie Sink and Camila Mendes, has incorporated vintage and archival pieces into Palmer’s closet for the last few years.

Palmer recently wore a vintage Versace polka dot print look from the label’s spring 1993 collection at Comic-Con on Sunday, and before that wore a Galliano-era Dior look at the February Independent Spirit Awards.
As a cornerstone of her red carpet and press tour wardrobe, Palmer’s, and by extension Dickson’s, affinity for archival pieces is a showcase for longevity and how, despite the resurgence of Y2K era trends and styles, certain pieces still feel modern and contemporary no matter the season.
