Meghan Markle Just Made This Hermès Sandal Her Go-to Summer Shoe

As summer slowly winds down, Meghan Markle is taking full advantage of the season in an all-white look and classic leather sandals — because we may as well wear our summer whites while we still can. The former actress wore the ensemble to a special screening of Roadside Attractions’ “Cookie Queens” at AMC The Grove 14 on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Markle sat on stage with filmmaker Alysa Nahmias during the event, where her shoes were on full display. She opted for the Hermès Santorini sandal in gold. The classic silhouette is made in Epsom Heritage calfskin, with a gold lambskin insole and lining.

The sandals are designed with the luxury brand’s “H” cutout detail on the vamp, which has become a signature detail of Hermès footwear. The heel counter features an extended leather panel that fully encloses the back of the heel, running from the footbed to the ankle strap.

Unlike the classic and popular Hermès Oran mule, which the Duchess of Sussex is also a fan of and has worn on multiple occasions, the Santorini features a closed-back structure that gives the shoe extra support and holds your heel in place.

The shoes feature an ultra-slim, adjustable ankle strap fastened with a palladium-plated buckle. The sandals feature a slight 0.4-inch heel and a 0.2-inch sole. The Santorini sandals retail for $1,100 and are available in 18 colors.

Markle paired the sandals with an oversize cream blazer, rolling the sleeves up to give the look a more casual flair. Underneath, she sported a white T-shirt and wide-leg cuffed jeans featuring a high-rise waist and a relaxed silhouette. The wide leg slightly concealed the sandals, allowing them to narrowly peek out from under the hem.

Under their Archewell Productions banner, Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, serve as executive producers of “Cookie Queens,” a coming-of-age documentary about the Girl Scout cookie-selling season.

The documentary follows four young Girl Scouts, ranging in ages from 5 to 12, as they navigate the joys and pressures of the annual cookie season. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is scheduled for theatrical release on Aug. 7.
