Dua Lipa Gives Approval to Tuck Your Jeans Into Boots

Dua Lipa‘s denim-heavy summer is still going strong — and on Tuesday, the pop star proved that tucking jeans into boots is a valid styling choice.

The “Dance the Night” singer was out in New York City wearing a staple wardrobe item — light wash denim jeans — with accessories galore. Amid the eye-catching outfit, the styling of her jeans and boots stood out; she wore a straight-leg or slightly baggy silhouette (she loves the Celine Boyfriend Jeans 001 style) with a pair of black leather calf-height boots — and instead of pulling her pant legs over the boots or opting for a slimmer, flatter shoe, she went ahead and tucked her jeans into the shafts of her boots, creating a slouchy, unbothered aesthetic. The styling choice served as a counterpoint to the belief that taller boots must be reserved for skirts, dresses or pants that are skinny enough to easily fit into the shaft without slouching.

As for the shoe style itself, Lipa appeared to be wearing Ann Demeulemeester’s Sarith Engineer Biker Boots with Buckles. The shoes feature a round toe, stacked heel and double-buckle straps, with a retail price set at $2,170.

The Grammy winner brought plenty of trends together with her overall ensemble. Her boots and jeans were paired with a fitted white top, white collared shirt and red Polo Ralph Lauren jacket. She leaned into the animal print trend with a leopard print Chrome Hearts belt and tapped into the bandanna craze with a red scarf wrapped around her hair, while a patterned Hermès scarf tied around her black Birkin bag added more color to her look. She completed the outfit with black sunglasses and a Chloé necklace with an apple core pendant.

Lipa has been showcasing all sorts of ways one might style different footwear silhouettes with denim. She’s worn The Row’s Ginza flip-flops recently as well as Chanel ballet flats from the Coco Beach 2026 collection.
