Tracee Ellis Ross and Gabrielle Union stepped out in designer pieces by Marc Jacobs and Prada for Thursday night’s “Every Brilliant Thing” performance in New York City, which marked Ross’ Broadway debut.
Ross turned to Marc Jacobs’ spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection. Styled by Karla Welch, the actress’ look consisted of a sheer, long-sleeve top with a round neckline beneath a fuchsia dress with a black belt at the waist, creating a defined silhouette.

Ross paired her dress with sheer black tights and a pair of open-toe black pumps to complete the look, which made its runway debut during New York Fashion Week in June 2026. Curated by the eponymous designer, the collection “carried through spring’s ethos of offering his customer something a bit more commercial — in a good way,” Emily Mercer wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“His spring collection pushed this idea one step further through garments — shimmering embroidered jackets and strapless corset tops, to name two — that would feel equally at home on the runway as they would in his stores.”

Union, meanwhile, opted for a more muted display of color with a white Prada midi dress. The sleeveless dress was designed with a boat neckline and a bow at the waist for a defined silhouette, with fabric gathering to the center of the piece.
The “Bring It On” alum paired her dress with a set of square-toed black heels crafted in a glossy material. While Ross’ red-carpet style went for playful summer tones, Union’s attire contrasted with a minimalist approach.
