Hunter Bell Introduces ‘HB Athletic Club’ Capsule Recognizing 20-Year Anniversary and World Cup

Hunter Bell, the Houston-based contemporary sportswear brand, is launching “HB Athletic Club,” inspired by the growing intersection of fashion and sport.

To coincide with the brand’s 20th anniversary and the World Cup, the capsule features a cropped jersey and a commemorative anniversary hat developed in collaboration with fellow Houston-based designer Freya. The pieces include custom patches such as an original HB icon, a special anniversary mark and graphics inspired by a summer that brings the world together through sport.

The capsule is slated to arrive just ahead of the World Cup, which begins in Mexico City Thursday, with Houston serving as one of the tournament’s host cities. It also signals a broader strategic opportunity for the Hunter Bell brand. HB Athletic Club serves as an introduction to sport- and collegiate-inspired dressing for the Hunter Bell customer, with plans to further explore game day, athletic and lifestyle products categories in future collections.

The collection will be sold on hunterbellnyc.com, and the prices are $295 for the jersey and $54 for the hat.

“We’ve seen growing interest from our customers in elevated, sport-inspired pieces that feel as appropriate for game day as they do for everyday life. HB Athletic Club is our first exploration of that space — a capsule that celebrates or 20-year milestone while introducing a new category we’re excited to continue building upon,” said Hunter Bell, founder, chief executive officer and creative director.

Bell said she expects this to be an ongoing business. “Tennis and pickleball are the categories we’re most excited to explore next. Both align naturally with how our customer lives and dresses, offering a seamless extension of the active, social lifestyle that has always inspired the brand,” Bell said.
