Emma Roberts Takes on the Ballet Flat Trend With Metallic Flair

Emma Roberts embraced a fashion-forward take on the ballet flat trend on Tuesday when she attended the Longchamp x Jeremy Scott exhibit in New York City.

Roberts completed her skirt and top ensemble with a metallic pair of mary jane ballet flats made unique with an intersecting double strap design — a hallmark of Longchamp’s Le Foulonné Ballerina style. Done in mirror-effect silver, the reflective shoes also featured a rounded toe and an extra high vamp as well. High vamp shoes are also having a moment in the fashion world, from flats to heels, providing extra coverage of the foot for a sophisticated twist.

The rest of Roberts’ look included a colorful travel-themed printed Longchamp skirt and a cerulean blue ribbed knit long sleeve top with a collar. Her hair was styled in long blond waves and she carried a small beige purse to complete her look.

With spring well underway and summer on the horizon, ballet flats have come out in full force, and celebrities left and right are championing the style — from Rosalìa wearing a ruched pair to a Netflix movie premiere to Harry Styles wearing them for occasions like awards shows and “Saturday Night Live.”

As for Roberts’ style, the actress recently wore Aquazzura pumps at the 2026 Disney Upfront earlier this month, modeling the brand’s trendy Love Affair style in black patent leather with a rose-printed Blumarine pre-fall 2026 dress. This event came after she got into the festival spirit at the 2026 Revolve Festival at Coachella, where she embraced desert style in a pair of ankle-height black boots with lace-trimmed silky shorts and a black jacket.
