Kylie Jenner Takes the Kitten Heel Thong Sandal Courtside

Kylie Jenner has taken the thong sandal trend courtside, joining her partner Timothée Chalamet to cheer on the New York Knicks at their latest playoffs game at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday wearing a pair of Manolo Blahnik kitten heels.

The Khy founder dressed up in a white top and patterned white pants for the occasion, punctuating the ensemble with Manolo Blahnik’s Paterno leather thong sandal style. The made-in-Italy slip-on shoe, crafted from napa leather, features classic flip-flop style thong straps and offers a slight boost with a 50 mm, or two-inch, sculpted kitten heel, overall offering an elevated take on the flip-flop. The style retails for $925.

Thong sandals in general have seen a boost in popularity lately, taking over summer 2025 and showing up on spring 2026 runways last year. Now Jenner is proving the style is still relevant. (Though she did not heed Martha Stewart’s warning to avoid wearing open-toe shoes when sitting courtside, a message she issued after Jalen Brunson broke her toe when he fell on her during a game last year.)

Jenner’s Manolo Blahnik sandals were paired with a white tank top and white spring 2013 Isabel Marant jeans which featured an embellished design down the legs. Sitting beside her, Chalamet stuck to his beloved Timberland boots for the game, showcasing a black 6-inch boot which rounded out a dark ensemble including baggy pants, a hoodie and a leather jacket. He topped off his look with a Knicks cap which brought blue and orange into his look. Chalamet will wear Timberlands to a range of occasions, whether Knicks games or red carpets, and often showcases a boot made in collaboration with another brand he loves, Chrome Hearts.
