Smerz, the Norwegian duo of Catharina Stoltenberg and Henriette Motzfeldt, are ready to unveil another batch of breathy pop songs. Easy EP is due out May 15. Leading the six-song release is the song “Spring Summer,” which you can listen to below.
Easy EP doesn’t have any details floating around just yet, nor have Smerz listed it on their website, but it is available to save on the duo’s Bandcamp. Among the tracklist are seemingly two variations of other songs on the EP, “Spring Summer 3 Beat” and “Somewhere 2,” if their titles are any indication.
Smerz are currently in the midst of a tour of North America and Europe. Last year, they dropped their second album, Big City Life. They gave the record new life in November by handing the songs over to a star-studded list of musicians—Clairo, ML Buch, Astrid Sonne, Erika de Casier, MIKE, They Are Gutting a Body of Water, and more—to remix the music or add a guest verse. Rounding out the names on Big City Life Edits are Elias Rønnenfelt, Fousheé, Clarissa Conelly, Fine, Yrdloop, New York, Haloplus+, Molina, Toxe, and Cezinando.
