South Korean eVTOL developer Airbility has signed a four-party Memorandum of Understanding to deploy UAV systems for public safety and border security in Thailand. The MoU partners include Thailand’s NT iBuzz, SmartOkO Thailand, and Singapore-based KILSA Global.
Integrated UAV Public Safety Solution
The partnership combines four distinct capabilities into a single system. Airbility provides high-speed eVTOL UAV platforms and flight systems. NT iBuzz, a subsidiary of Thai state-owned National Telecom (NT), supplies secure communications and data transmission infrastructure. SmartOkO Thailand delivers AI-powered video analytics and computer vision for real-time aerial imagery analysis. KILSA Global manages cross-border business coordination and public-sector engagement across ASEAN.
Target applications include border surveillance, law enforcement support, disaster response, and critical infrastructure monitoring.
“This partnership represents a significant milestone in deploying Korea’s advanced eVTOL and UAV technologies for real-world public safety missions in Southeast Asia,” said Jinmo Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Airbility. “By combining Airbility’s high-speed aerial platforms with NT iBuzz’s secure communications infrastructure, SmartOkO’s AI surveillance capabilities, and KILSA’s regional expertise, we aim to deliver a comprehensive, integrated solution that addresses Thailand’s evolving security needs.”
UAV Public Safety Collaboration Scope
The four parties will jointly develop, deploy, and operate advanced UAV systems across Thailand. The collaboration covers integration of secure communication networks to support UAV operations. It also includes AI-based video analytics and intelligent monitoring for both real-time and post-mission analysis.
The partners plan to coordinate pilot projects, demonstration initiatives, and future deployments throughout the country.
