DroneShield Opens New European Headquarters in Amsterdam

DroneShield has officially opened its new European headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The move strengthens the counter-drone company’s operational presence across EU and NATO-aligned markets.

DroneShield European Headquarters Supports Fastest-Growing Region

Europe was DroneShield’s best-performing market in 2025. The region generated $98 million in revenue, accounting for 45 percent of total company revenue. As of February 2026, DroneShield reports a European pipeline valued at $1.2 billion.

The DroneShield European headquarters will serve as an operational base for the company’s EU Centre of Excellence. The office aligns with the EU’s ReArm Europe Plan / Readiness 2030 initiative. That program seeks to boost military spending, strengthen industrial sovereignty, and accelerate support for Ukraine.

The expansion builds on DroneShield’s recently established European manufacturing footprint for sovereign counter-UAS capability.

Leadership and Regional Team

Louis Gamarra leads the European headquarters. DroneShield promoted Gamarra to Chief Commercial Officer earlier this year. He oversees commercial and operational functions across Europe, including a growing in-region team.

The European footprint now comprises around a dozen staff. The multilingual team covers English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian.

“DroneShield’s investment in Benelux marks a major milestone that strengthens our ability to support frontline users, procurement agencies and industry partners across Europe,” said Gamarra. “With increasing demand for counter-drone solutions across the region, our new European headquarters will allow us to deliver faster, more localised support to our EU partners. We’re proud to be investing in local talent and infrastructure to meet the growing security needs across Europe.”

Geopolitical Demand Drives Counter-Drone Growth

Geopolitical pressures continue to drive demand for deployed counter-UAS solutions across Europe and the Middle East. The Iranian conflict, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and repeated Russian drone incursions all contribute to urgency in the market.

The official opening hosted VIP guests. Dutch State Secretary for Defence Derk Boswijk and Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands Dr. Greg French attended the event. Their presence reflects the cross-national partnerships supporting DroneShield’s European expansion.

The DroneShield European headquarters team will work alongside the company’s network of European resellers. The office also grows internal operations to support customer delivery and deployment.
