Nike Kobe 11 Protro Fade to Black, Mamba Day Release Date

The 10th anniversary of Kobe Bryant‘s final NBA game is just under two weeks away, and Nike will celebrate the occasion by reviving two sneakers involved in the farewell.

The Nike Kobe 11 Low Protro Fade to Black and Mamba Day are the first reissues of the 10-year-old sneakers. Bryant wore the former pair during the game itself, and the latter was made available for customization on Nike iD upon tipoff that night.

Fade to Black is the more muted of the duo with black claiming most of the territory from the Flyknit upper through to the sole unit. Gold arrives through the sidewall Swooshes and mismatched heel marks. The left shoe maintains the model’s four horizontal lines calling back to Bryant’s achilles surgery, while the right reads “4.13.16.”

Mamba Day also features a black base but with gold numbers scattered across the upper and a translucent blue outsole. The numerals denote the dates of his first and final NBA games as well as key statistics including his five titles and 81-point performance, which was the NBA’s second-best individual scoring output until Bam Adebayo surpassed it on March 10.

Both Kobe 11 feature the year 2026 on the inner-tongue tag to denote this year’s release.

Originally, the series of numbers was available as a customization option for the Kobe 11 in a variety of colors. It now returns as a static design complementing the Fade to Black game shoes.

Aside from being the last time Bryant played on an NBA court, his final game was also noteworthy for one last outpouring of buckets. At 37 years old, he put up 60 points on a career-high 50 shots to become the oldest player to score 60 points or more.

The Nike Kobe 11 Low Protro Fade to Black and Mamba Day will both release April 13 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing of the former is set at $200 and the latter $220.
