Mikayla Nogueira Swaps Her Inky Hair for Hannah Montana Blond

Mikayla Nogueira went full blond at the world premiere of Disney+’s “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” in Los Angeles on Monday night.

The influencer and founder of POV Beauty hid her inky extensions under a muddy blond wig, which featured finely cut bangs and pin-straight ends akin to that of the retired pop star. With long layers and caramel-colored roots, the headpiece looked real, as if Nogueira had actually dyed her dark hair.

In the lead up to the premiere, Nogueira shared a behind-the-scenes videos on TikTok, asking her 17.4 million followers to help her decide which outfit to wear. Ultimately, the internet star opted for a mint green corset, blue jeans, a denim Louis Vuitton bag, flower kitten heels and a stack of diamond bracelets. For makeup, she went with a matte nude lip, bubblegum blush, spider lashes, white eyeliner and a 2016-esque eye shadow aesthetic.

Elsewhere on the purple carpet, Miley Cyrus reverted to her early 2000s persona with a butter blond cut — no wig — and a Hannah Montana baby T-shirt with a silver dress overlay. Next to her, former Disney Channel stars Shanica Knowles, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Cody Linley, Jason Earles and Moisés Arias paid homage to their characters, dressing in cowboy hats, branded T-shirts, sneakers and sage green suits.

Hannah Montana, the early years, lived in the quintessential Y2K wardrobe — ripped, bootcut denim, matching vests, capris leggings, cropped jackets and all the half-shirt, half-dress options she could get. From 2008 to 2009, Hannah swapped her skinny scarves and bedazzled suit ties for the infamous, hot pink Michael Jackson glove, complimentary colors and clashing prints. By 2010, her inner punk and penchant for patterns had subdued. In its place, a bohemian pop princess blossomed. Now, Hannah’s style seems to settle somewhere between the past and present — modern-day Miley Cyrus meets Hannah maximalism.

The “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” is available to stream now on Hulu and Disney+.
