Queen Letizia’s Go-to Magrit Kitten Heels Return in Madrid

Magrit’s black leather Clara kitten heels are staying in rotation as one of Queen Letizia’s go-to pointed pumps for official Madrid duties.

The Spanish royal attended the “Our Longest Constitution” institutional event at the Congress of Deputies in Madrid on Tuesday wearing Magrit’s Clara pumps in black leather — a pointed-toe, kitten heel style she has kept in steady rotation since at least 2024.

The Magrit Clara is a classic court pump built on an elongated pointed toe and a low-cut vamp, finished with a short, tapered kitten heel. The brand’s Clara listings widely cite a 4cm heel height for the style, keeping the profile formal without pushing into stiletto scale.

Her navy suit stayed equally precise. The jacket came in a textured, tweed-like fabric with a sharp collar, a fitted waist, and a hip-length hem that flared slightly. A matching pencil skirt hit mid-calf, keeping the pump’s pointed toe and heel line clear.

She’s relied on the kitten heel several times this year, including a return in January for Madrid’s Pascua Militar ceremony. The repeat wear sits alongside another recent footwear constant for her: black heeled loafers from Massimo Dutti, which she has also rotated through Madrid events as a stable alternative to pumps.

While kitten heels have always been something of a staple for royals, Queen Letizia’s Magrit choice tracks with the wider return of low-heel, pointed-toe pumps as a polished daytime-to-occasion option. Jessica Williams recently opted for a more modern take on the classic heel, wearing Mesh Britt Netta Slingbacks for her appearance on “The View” last month, while Oprah Winfrey put her own twist on the ballerina shoe trend in white kitten heels with ribbon ties for for “Oprah: In Conversation” in Sydney last December.

Tuesday’s appearance tied to a major institutional milestone: Spain’s 1978 Constitution reaching 47 years in force, now described by Spain’s Congress and the Royal Household as the country’s “longest-lived constitution,” with the king and queen also visiting an exhibition at the Congress focused on the 1978 text and its legacy.
