Sandy Liang Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Sandy Liang’s fall collection was one sweet treat.

Following her runway show Sunday, Liang said she was inspired by two of her favorite films: Sofia Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service” — also a favorite of her son’s, so it has been on replay at her house. The ideas fused into a collection that upheld the designer’s signature look in a candy-coated palette with plenty of girly flourishes.

“Sandy Liang embraces deliberate undoneness and the intimacy that comes from wanting everything at once, from being so immersed in your favorite things that you become your favorite things,” show notes read.

On the runway, this resulted in Kiki’s aprons as taffeta dresses, accented with frills and ruffles, while Antoinette’s slippers were decorated with ribbons, shearling trims and even little bunny ears and a tail. The idea extended into delightful partywear covered in pailettes and sequins, as well as sporty chic jackets with train-adorned long skirts.

Liang went all out on her signature bow details and worked them into almost every look, as seen through ribbons woven into cropped fisherman cardigans and nubby skirt suits, a leather handbag in its blown-up shape, and new ponchos, which were covered in them.

“A big part of it was also the idea of Marie Antoinette laying in bed sleeping. Those parts of the movies, when she’s hiding and in her like undergarments are some of my favorite bits,” the designer said.

She embraced the fantasy of “let them eat cake, in bed” with pink satin pajama party dresses; a quilted jacket in a ditsy floral bedsheet print, and a good assortment of jersey layers, spanning from long johns to princess dresses.
