Spanx is getting back into the swimwear business.
The brand is relaunching a collection for 2026, positioning swimwear as a key category for its next chapter. The collection extends Spanx’s expertise in fit and function into swim, and introduces, for the first time, three distinct Spanxeffect compression levels within the assortment.
Spanx’s first major swim launch was in 2018, and throughout the years the company has had sporadic introductions that tested new silhouettes and materials. Its most recent swim collection was in 2023.
“As the inventors of modern shapewear, swim is a natural extension of our expertise,” said Wendy Hanson, vice president of innovation and intimate apparel design at Spanx. “We’ve been listening closely to our consumers for years, testing and learning alongside them. That insight has allowed us to return to swim with a more intentional assortment that better addresses her needs and brings the Spanxeffect compression levels she already trusts into the category.”

The swimwear collection is made of premium Italian fabrics. Each swimsuit style is breathable, chlorine-resistant for durability and provides UPF 50-plus sun protection.
The three compressions are Spanxsmooth Swim, which is light compression for barely there smoothing; Spanxshape Swim, medium compression for a little more tummy control and shaping, and Spanxsculpt Swim, strong compression that cinches and snatches.
Spanxsmooth Swim styles will include string bikini tops and bottoms, a bandeau bikini top, and a scoop-neck one-piece. Spanxshape Swim styles will feature halter bikini tops, scoop-neck bikini tops, hi-rise bikini bottoms, hi-rise cheeky bikini bottoms, ultra hi-rise bikini bottoms, hi-rise bikini skirts, bandeau one-pieces and cutout one-pieces. And Spanxsculpt Swim styles will include square-neck one-pieces, halter one-pieces and high-neck one-pieces. There will also be cover-ups, beach button downs, beach shorts and midi dresses.

Prices range from $68 to $198.
The launch will be on spanx.com, and select pieces will be carried in key boutiques. New styles and colors will be introduced throughout the spring and summer.
