Angelina Jolie attended the premiere of her upcoming film “Couture” at the Pathe Palace in Paris on Monday, wearing sculptural high-heeled pumps designed by Sarah Burton for Givenchy.
Jolie wore the Givenchy Spiky black satin pumps. The sleek high heels featured a sharp style, characterized by a distinctive high neckline. That detail distinguished the shoes from a traditional low-cut pump, giving the heels a vintage aesthetic.

The satin pumps featured an elongated pointed toe and a slip-on design. The shoes were designed with a sharp pitch and cone heels, measuring about four inches. Cone heels are defined by an inverted triangular heel that starts wider at the sole and tapers to a narrower point toward the bottom, which makes the space between the heel and heel appear slimmer.

Thicker heels also provide greater stability than stilettos and were a popular choice in the 1970s. Givenchy currently offers the Spiky heels in a slingback silhouette and in a slip-on mule style made with smooth leather and a patent leather panel around the topline of the heels and a cigarette heel. The mules retail for $990, while the slingback heels retail for $950.

Jolie paired the heels with a sheer Givenchy dress. The design featured a frayed, ankle-length hemline with sparkling crystal fringes hanging over the heels.
Jolie stars in “Couture” as Maxine Walker, a filmmaker who discovers she has breast cancer while covering Paris Fashion Week. The Chanel-backed film explores the untold stories of three women behind the fashion industry and how their lives intersect.
