This past weekend, “Industry” star Myha’la Herrold was in San Francisco cheering on her home team: Thom Browne.
The New York-based actress was in town to attend Thom Browne’s fall 2026 runway show on Friday, held during the lead-up to Sunday’s Super Bowl game. The show, part of GQ Bowl, was livestreamed from the Legion of Honor museum in the City by the Bay.
“ I always love Thom’s shows,” the actress said on Monday. “He is so committed to storytelling. Not only through the collection, but through the whole experience that is the show. Because it really doesn’t feel like just a fashion show. It’s always a story. There’s always a performance element,” she added, praising the poem performed by actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen 2nd during the show. “I thought that was really evocative,” she said.
Walking in the show were three football players: former Steelers linebacker Marcus Allen, Justin Jefferson of the Vikings and wide receiver Deandre Hopkins. “I loved seeing [Browne’s] garments, his structure, on a different body type,” Herrold said.
Herrold attended the show alongside husband Armando Rivera. The actors recently celebrated their first anniversary of being married. On Friday both were in coordinating Thom Browne looks, with Herrold in the Bikini pleated gray maxiskirt and matching sport coat, with the brand’s signature Hector handbag.
“ When I put on his clothes, I’m assuming the Thom Browne character. And so I get to walk in Thom’s world whenever I’m wearing the clothes,” added Herrold. “And they’re just good people over there. They’re generous, they’re considerate, and I like feeling like I’m a part of their family.”
Shortly after the show, Herrold flew back home to New York ahead of Sunday’s game. She’s staying local for New York Fashion Week, followed by a trip to Paris. “Industry” is in the middle of airing its fourth season, and later this spring Herrold will head back to SXSW for the premiere of her next film, “They Will Kill You.”
”I’m just really happy that ‘Industry’ is coming out and the audiences are enjoying the expansion and reimagining of our show,” said Herrold, who leads the popular series as investment banker Harper Stern. “Our audience has also welcomed some of our new characters with such open arms,” she adds. “I’m happy for them to see the end of the season, which I think is really strong.”
