J Balvin and Jordan Brand experimenting, but which collaboration will they release next?
The Colombian singer was in attendance Sunday for Super Bowl LX and on foot, he laced up a previously unseen Air Jordan collaboration. Clad in a Latino Gang-branded leather jacket, J Balvin wore a familiar-looking Air Jordan 4, but a closer look revealed details that hadn’t been seen on Michael Jordan’s fourth signature model.
After the Medellín-born artist gifted an unreleased Air Jordan 4 collaboration to DJ Khaled in December, J Balvin emerged at the Super Bowl in a similarly colored yet different version of the sneaker. The colors seen on both sneakers are the same — there’s brown, pastel pink, green blue, yellow, red and black — but the placement is completely different. While December’ style featured a black leather base, the new spin on the multicolor collaboration features a brown base that’s accented with a pink mudguard.
Colors aside, newly seen details on J Balvin’s Air Jordan 4 include a pre-distressed midsole with marble-esque details and a mini Swoosh logo.

The prevailing question coming out of Super Bowl LX is which J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 will be released? The specifics are still up in the air. With an expected style code of IW2872-700, there have been reports that J Balvin’s retail Air Jordan 4 release will don a Lemonade/Lemonade color combination — a far cry from the multicolor palette seen thus far. It’s possible that the multicolor looks previewed thus far will remain friends-and-family exclusive releases with the retail version remaining unseen as of publishing.
J Balvin’s Jordan Brand collaborations have thus far included the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3 models.
What is confirmed for sure is that a J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 OG will be released during Jordan Brand’s fall launch window. Retail pricing of $225 is expected.
