Nike ACG Air Max Goadome ‘DMV’ Available Now IQ0610-633

Nike’s low-top update to the cult-classic ACG Air Max Goadome boot has been one of the year’s most unexpected hits thus far, but the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear company isn’t hanging up the standard high-top version for the season just yet.

Before the low-top releases become more abundant, Nike has just issued an ACG Air Max Goadome “DMV” style, which pays tribute to the model’s popularity in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia metropolitan region. Clad in a Sweet Beet/Black colorway, the pair takes on a cherry blossom theme reminiscent of the “DMV” treatment Nike gave to the Air Foamposite One, another area staple, in 2024.

Nike kept the theme subtle on this pair, draping the boot in a beet-colored leather upper with a black midsole and matching visible Air Max units. The “DMV” distinction is called out on the heel, which is stamped with the letters, as well as the cherry blossom-printed insole. 

Although regional style is increasingly becoming homogenized thanks to social media, the DMV is well known for its penchant for certain footwear including the aforementioned Goadomes — affectionately dubbed “Nike boots” — along with the Foamposite and Flightposite franchises, New Balance 990s and more.

Conceptualized in the late 1990s by Carl Blakeslee, the ACG Air Max Goadome was introduced to the market in 2000 and was intended to compete with Timberland’s perpetually popular 6-inch Premium Waterproof boots. Recently, the ACG Air Max Goadome has seen a resurgence thanks to premium pony hair colorways and special projects with rappers Wale and Yeat.

The Nike ACG Air Max Goadome DMV is arriving exclusively at area retailers Thursday including DTLR and Snipes for $200. A wider Snkrs release has not been confirmed, but the boots are available now from select stockists while supplies last. The style code for the DMV colorway is IQ0610-633.
