Keke Palmer Goes Vintage in Dior for ‘The Tonight Show’

Keke Palmer revived playful early 2000s glamour with a look from John Galliano‘s time at Dior for the “The ‘Burbs” actress’ Tuesday night appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City.

Styled by Molly Dickson, Palmer turned to Dior’s fall 2003 collection for her late night look. The sleeveless dress featured a plunging neckline with fabric draping at the waist and a miniskirt hem. Rhinestones added sparkling embellishment to the straps and the hem of the skirt.

The actress added a furry jacket to the look in the same shade of soft pink, with long sleeves that further framed Palmer’s minidress look. Palmer wore a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo heels to add the finishing touch to her attire.

As for accessories, Palmer went mostly minimal with a necklace, delicate rings and statement earrings in shades of silver. Her pixie cut hair was coiffed with soft waves and her makeup included glam staples like bold smokey eyes and a glossy lip to boot.

John Galliano served as the artistic director for Dior from 1996 until 2011, following a scandal involving alleged anti-Semitic insults the designer made in a video. Raf Simons replaced Galliano in April 2012.

Over the course of more than a decade during his tenure as the French luxury fashion house’s lead couturier, Galliano redefined Dior with theatricality, references to romantic designs and a reinterpretation of Christian Dior’s “New Look,” a silhouette that rose in prominence for women’s fashion in the 1950s and was defined by a slim, cinched waistline and full skirt.

Under the styling of Dickson, Palmer’s given new life to several archival and vintage pieces. The actress wore a ’90s Versace dress originally worn by Naomi Campbell at “The Pickup” premiere in July 2025. For the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2025, Palmer wore a vintage Chanel dress from the French luxury fashion house’s 1985 collection.

The actress is currently promoting her new series “The ‘Burbs,” which follows couple Samira and Rob Fisher, played by Palmer and Jack Whitehall, who move back to Rob’s childhood home only to discover the dark secrets of their picturesque cul-de-sac. The series premieres Sunday on Peacock.
