Halle Berry bundled up for the icy New York City temperatures in a statement gray coat while promoting her new film “Crime 101” on Monday.
The Oscar-winning “Monster’s Ball” star styled a long-sleeved, double-breasted gray coat from Róhe, with elements of suited styling inspiration throughout. The coat, which Berry wore atop a cobalt look beneath for her daytime talk show rounds, featured tailored details at the shoulders with a flowing frame and elongated hemline.

Halle Berry is seen outside CBS Studios on Feb. 2 in New York City.

Sharp, sinuous lapels and a subtle breast pocket featured as standout details on the coat, along with six buttons on the front. Berry, who regularly collaborates with stylist Lindsay Flores, paired her Mod, tailored look with a set of brown, pointed toe pumps.
Berry’s pared back gray coat evoked a certain variation on quiet luxury, with its minimalist construction and versatility. Similarly styled coats have been worn by other high-profile figures as of late.
Meghan Markle, known widely for her post-royal quiet luxury style, wore Heidi Merrick’s fog coat in a shade of deep sea while attending the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 25. Both Berry and Markle’s takes on minimalist outerwear harkens back to a certain style evocative of 1990s minimalism, where playful proportions and some nods to tailoring incorporated into statement coats.

The actress wore a long-sleeve black bodysuit with a plunging neckline, which she paired with a shimmering, semi-sheer skirt from the İlkyaz Özel-founded brand The New Arrivals at the London premiere of the film on Thursday.
“Crime 101” follows an elusive thief eyeing his final score while a relentless detective pursues him. The film costars Chris Hemsworth, Monica Barbaro, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan. “Crime 101” hits theaters Feb. 13.
