Lady Gaga modeled a bird-like ensemble with a custom feathered dress by Matières Fécales at the 2026 Grammys red carpet on Sunday evening. The “Die with a Smile” singer returned to the Grammys as one of the night’s top nominees, with seven nods tied for second-most overall after Kendrick Lamar.

As is expected of the hitmaker, she went theatrical with her wardrobe. This time, she went dark and mystical in a sculptural gown covered in black feathers, evoking a raven or a similarly jet-black bird. The curvaceous silhouette featured a high neckline with feathers standing upright and framing her face, pronounced hips, and a flared skirt leading into a dramatic train. She has worn the Paris-based label Matières Fécales before, including convex platform heels made in collaboration with Christian Louboutin.

Gaga’s Grammys archive mixes couture polish with full theatrical swings. At the 2025 Grammys, she wore a custom Samuel Lewis gown with a high neckline, corset-style bodice, pointed sleeves and a voluminous skirt that extended into a train. In 2022, she returned to a house she’s worn to the ceremony repeatedly, arriving in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé in a black-and-white one-shoulder gown with a sweeping train and open back before changing into an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown to perform.

“Mayhem” is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while “Abracadabra” is in the General Field for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. She also landed pop field nominations for “Disease” (Best Pop Solo Performance) and “Abracadabra” (Best Dance Pop Recording), alongside Harlequin for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, returns to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 1, airing live 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
