At Tuesday night’s Giorgio Armani Privé show, Kate Hudson was feeling a little hoarse, joking that it had less to do with the 12-hour flight from Los Angeles and more to do with the fact that she had “spent the last week screaming” following her Oscar nomination for “Song Sung Blue.”
It’s been 25 years since her last nod, so how is she approaching the honor this time around?
“I’m just taking it on. It’s like how I felt about having Rani, my third child. You just take it all in differently. You know, you enjoy every moment,” she said.
Hudson wore Armani to the Golden Globes on Jan. 11. “I loved everything about that dress,” she said of her swishy silver number, adding that she was already on the lookout for her next outfit. She described the couture collection as “beautiful, like fresh air, ethereal.”
However, she wouldn’t reveal any favorites. “I’m not telling because I don’t want anyone to steal it.”
The actress said she thought she would have a day off after the fashion show to hang out in Paris, but instead will be heading to London to do an unnamed talk show. She’s been promoting “Song Sung Blue” for a year, she added. “But I’m so excited, I have to keep going.”

Elizabeth Debicki also made the transition from cold to couture, having just landed from Utah.
She premiered her film “Wicker” alongside a powerhouse cast that includes Alexander Skarsgård, Olivia Colman and Peter Dinklage. The comedy about a mail-order husband received strong reviews during the film festival.
Skarsgård plays a man made out of the titular material, and “it’s very original,” she added. “Very dark but also funny.”
Her best tip for transitioning from the mountains to Avenue Montaigne is “a big sleep.”
“I stripped off my tracksuit pants and put this on. It actually feels very appropriate for the climate. It’s a gorgeous, velvety number — and I’ve got velvet loafers to match.”
Diane Kruger also took a seat in the front row with partner Norman Reedus. She was the first to rise at the close of the show, leading a standing ovation for Silvana Armani, alongside an emotional Pom Klementieff.
Silvana is carrying the torch for the women’s side of the house since her uncle Giorgio Armani’s passing last September.
