At a 2026 Golden Globe Awards, the watch and jewelry storytelling unfolded with a precise clarity. While fashion embraced classic and minimal princess silhouettes with strapless gowns and romantic proportions, as an important supporting character jewelry and timepieces felt purposefully restrained.

One of the most striking trends of the night was how many bare collar bones there were with attendees preferring to rest on the power of a few standout statement pieces. This was exemplified by best actress winner Jessie Buckley, who wore a pair of Martin Katz desert diamond earrings with her custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson gown; Zoë Kravitz’s custom diamond hairpin and a few rings by Jessica McCormack paired with her Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello slipdress, and Selena Gomez’s Chanel high jewelry earrings and rings paired with a Chanel gown, of course. Each chose to leave their neck naked.

Leading the conversation was Tiffany & Co., which anchored several of the nights most standout looks and talents, including a Bird on a Rock brooch on Connor Storrie, archival earrings and Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany rings on Best Supporting Actress winner Teyana Taylor and a stunning 15 carat emerald pendant on Miley Cyrus.

Boucheron made the case for its continued momentum in the U.S. The Place Vendôme maison has been expanding its retail presence stateside with recent stores in Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, after opening in New York City in 2024. The brand had a wide range of placements throughout the night, including Jennifer Garner, Amy Poehler and Zoey Deutch but it was their recently named Friend of the Maison Colman Domingo who stood out with a mix of diamond ivy brooches from the new Histoire de Style collection that will debut in a few weeks in Paris during couture week. He told WWD on the carpet that he wanted other men to step into the limelight style-wise, but he still ended up stealing the show.

Cartier dressed a range of brand ambassadors including high jewelry necklaces from the En Equilibre collection on Elle Fanning, bucking the rub of bare necks across the evening as she paired it with her Gucci dress. They also scored a few men’s Tank watches on award nominees Paul Mescal and Noah Wyle.

Chopard had the timepiece flex of the night with Dwayne Johnson’s Alpine Eagle Frozen Summit limited-edition, one-of-eight timepiece with more than 29 carats of diamonds. A close second came from Jacob & Co., which outfitted the show’s host Nikki Glaser and Benny Blanco with diamond timepieces.

Natural diamonds reined supreme at the show, even with a few colored ideas, like Charli XCX appearing in De Beers London yellow diamond earrings and Hailee Steinfeld multiple Repossi yellow diamond pieces.
Beyond the bling, other timepieces had serious collector vibes, like Michael B. Jordan’s vintage Patek Philippe Tegola “hour glass” in platinum and Timothée Chalamet, who went full watch geek “if you know you know” with the Urban Jürgensen UJ-2 with a platinum case. Meanwhile, Longines brand ambassador Jennifer Lawrence went vintage with her watch, which she paired with her Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown.
It’s not a red carpet without a Rolex, with Leonardo DiCaprio sporting a Chronograph Daytona “Le Mans” and Will Arnett sporting a Deepsea in yellow gold.

WWD Style Award winner of the red-carpet watch brand of the year, Omega, outfitted a host of Golden Globes’ finest including Patrick Schwarzenegger and brand ambassador Glen Powell in the Speedmaster. “It’s a classic,” Powell told WWD on the red carpet.
In lockstep with fashion, this year’s red carpet was a return to classicism — less about spectacle more about permanence — with watches and jewelry speaking in a quieter, yet assured, language.
