Bears- and Packers DFS picks: Best plays for the Wild Card round

The Bears and Packers will meet for the third time this season on Saturday evening. They split the regular season games, but the Bears ended up winning the NFC North and getting home field against their division rivals. These two teams know each other well, so we should expect another close game, as both of their regular season games came down to the wire.

The Bears could get Rome Odunze back this weekend, which will impact these DFS picks.

Below we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Wild Card showdown.

Caleb Williams, QB, Bears (FLEX $13,000, CPT $19,500)

The Bears like to spread the ball around, especially if they get Rome Odunze back this week. Picking a single Bears player for the captain’s spot is tough, so I’m going to pick the ball distributer. He could have all his weapons at his disposal this weekend and as home underdogs, I expect the Packers will push him to throw and run the ball more than hand it off. Adding in the absence of Micah Parsons also helps a lot, as Williams will have more time to process. He’ll likely need a rushing touchdown or two to really pay off. The playoffs are always a good time to bet on quarterbacks to run the ball and we know Williams is more than willing to take off.

Josh Jacobs, RB, Packers (FLEX $12,600, CPT $18,900)

Jacobs has been playing through injuries, but he has gotten some rest recently, which hopefully has him ready to go for this matchup. The Packers would love to just run the ball against the Bears and win that way, so Jacobs could easily see 20-30 looks if things go well for them. And unlike the Bears running backs, the Packers want to give Jacobs the bulk of the work.

Christian Watson, WR, Packers (FLEX $11,000, CPT $16,500)

Watson has been the Packers true WR1 since returning from his ACL injury. Despite missing seven games, he is just behind Romeo Doubs in fantasy points. He has six touchdowns over his last seven games and a two touchdown game against the Bears. If any receiver is going to be worth a captain’s slot for Green Bay, it’s likely to be Watson.

Jayden Reed, WR, Packers (FLEX $5,800, CPT $8,700)

Reed has the upside of a top play in this matchup, but since returning from his injury, he just hasn’t broken out. That’s good for his price to roster on FanDuel and with his ability, I expect to use him in most of my lineups for this matchup.

Jahdae Walker, WR, Bears (FLEX $3,000, CPT $5,400)

Walker has seen more work with Rome Odunze out, but looks to have also passed Olamide Zaccheaus on the depth chart. If Odunze is out again, I like Walker as a cheap flier. He does have a touchdown against this Packers team and when on the field Caleb Williams appears to be looking for him.

Luke Musgrave, TE, Packers (FLEX $3,000, CPT $5,400)

Musgrave isn’t Tucker Kraft, but he still sees enough work to be a useful value play. He’s caught 7-of-9 targets for 90 yards over his last two games. That kind of usage is great for just 3k on FanDuel.
