LONDON — British jewelry designer Solange Azagury-Partridge; Demetra Pinsent, chief executive officer of Charlotte Tilbury; sustainable fashion label Scamp & Dude founder Jo Tutchener-Sharp, and Indian bridal and eveningwear brand Khubsoorat Collection founder Maninder Kohli have been named in the annual New Year Honors list, which is compiled and issued by the British government.
The awards are handed out during the year by King Charles III and members of the royal family.
Azagury-Partridge received a Member of the Order of the British Empire, or MBE, for her services to design.
The designer began selling from her kitchen table, and went on to become the creative director of Boucheron. She now caters to a loyal, international fanbase of private clients, and last year launched “Solange: Jewellery for Chromantics,” a coffee table book published by Rizzoli.

A former partner at McKinsey and a graduate of Oxford and Harvard, Pinsent has served as the brand’s CEO from Day One.
She has been instrumental in helping Tilbury rank first among makeup brands in the U.K., and first globally for influencer advocacy by year-end 2024, when Puig revealed it would assume full ownership of the label by the beginning of 2031.
She was honored with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, or OBE, for her services to business and to the beauty industry.
“I am acutely aware that this recognition is for something that is really the collective achievement of an extraordinary team. Building a new business requires a village of determined and resilient problem solvers, and the success of Charlotte Tilbury is a testament to that,” Pinsent said in a statement.
“Any personal contribution was made possible by my husband and children, who put up with all the compromises. A heartfelt thank you to my exceptional colleagues and supportive family,” she added.

A former beauty PR, Tutchener-Sharp founded the B Corp-certified fashion brand Scamp & Dude after she suffered a brain hemorrhage and was separated from her children. That experience inspired her to create a brand that offers comfort and empowerment through superhero-themed design and charitable giving.
“After the king called us a ‘community that cares,’ to have ten years of hard work recognized even further with such a prestigious award is a dream I couldn’t have pictured way back when I started in 2016,” wrote Tutchener-Sharp in an Instagram post.
She said the brand has grown into a community that supports women undergoing chemotherapy. Through its Super Scarf mission, the brand has gifted 80,000 Super Scarves and over 10,000 Superhero Sleep Buddies to children facing tough times, and provided more than 4 million pounds in cash and product donations.
Kohli’s brand Khubsoorat Collection was founded in 1985, and it has dressed top Bollywood actors, British royalty, politicians, and musicians.
In popular culture, the brand is best known for designing costumes for British movies such as “Bend It Like Beckham,” “Amar Akbar and Tony,” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It” starring Lily James.
Tutchener-Sharp and Kohli received an OBE and an MBE, respectively, for their services to fashion.
Some 1,157 Britons have been recognized and are set to receive royal accolades for their work in a variety of industries in the 2026 Honors list.
Actors Idris Elba and Cynthia Erivo, and Olympic gold winners Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were also named in the New Year Honors list.
