Nike Announces Top Sneaker Releases of 2025

After we ranked our best Air Jordans of 2025 last week, Nike has announced its own top 10 releases of the year.

Announced Monday in the brand’s “This Year in Snkrs” roundup, the list ranks the 10 most-wanted styles of the year for U.S. Snkrs customers.

1: Air Jordan 11 Retro “Gamma”

Taking the top spot is the first-ever Air Jordan 11 Retro Gamma reissue. The style was originally released in 2013 and is considered one of the most popular non-original Air Jordan 11 colorways, particularly with younger consumers.

2: Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro OG SP “Brick by Brick”

The second most-wanted style was Nigel Sylvester’s Brick by Brick Air Jordan 4 collaboration. Considered by many to be one of the year’s top releases, the pair adopted the color (and texture) of bricks to continue the BMX rider’s run of powerful storytelling.

3: Air Jordan 4 Retro “Black Cat”

Another Air Jordan 4 appears at number three with Black Friday’s Black Cat style. Originally released in 2006 and again in 2020, the all-black colorway has become one of the model’s most sought-after looks.

4: Nike Kobe 8 Protro “What the”

Kobe Bryant’s signature line is well-represented on the list with its first appearance at number four in the form of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro What the. The mismatched style was released in April and is the first reissue of the 2013 pair.

5: Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game”

Michael Jordan’s sneakers appear again at number 5, this time with the iconic Flu Game Air Jordan 12. The black-and-red style was famously worn by Jordan during a spectacular NBA Finals performance while he was suffering from flu-like symptoms.

6: Air Jordan 5 Retro “Black Metallic Reimagined”

The Black Metallic Reimagined Air Jordan 5 takes the number six slot. With slight modifications from the original, the style was one of the hardest general releases of the year to track down, selling out quickly time and time again.

7: Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy”

All-Star Weekend’s Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy reissue falls at number seven. The space-themed style debuted in 2012 and received its first rerelease this year.

8: Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers”

Bryant’s shoes take both the number eight and nine spots with the Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers and Kobe 6 Protro All-Star, respectively. The former features details inspired by the dominant Los Angeles team and the latter includes the first-ever redesign of the Kobe 6’s upper.

10: Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack “Bright Cactus”

The final spot was taken by Travis Scott’s Bright Cactus Jordan Jumpman Jack (aka CJ1 T-Rexx) collaboration.

While Nike doesn’t specify what exactly designates “most-wanted,” the wording implies it pertains to the sneakers with the most raffle entries.
