ZenaTech Expands Drone-as-a-Service Network With Acquisitions

New U.S. and Canadian holdings strengthen land surveying and service capabilities while supporting growth in key industry sectors

ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) (FSE: 49Q) (BMV: ZENA) has announced the completion of three new Drone as a Service acquisitions that expand its North American footprint and add new service capabilities across the U.S. and Canada. The company reported that the latest deals bring its total number of acquisitions this year to 19, supporting the growth of its DaaS business and strengthening its customer base across multiple industries.

The company confirmed the closures of Holt Surveying & Mapping, Inc. in Spokane, Washington; Andrew Spiewak Land Surveyor, Inc., based in the Chicago area; and a Halifax-based commercial window washing company, which marks ZenaTech’s first acquisition in Canada.

ZenaTech CEO Shaun Passley, Ph.D., said the new additions play a key role in expanding the company’s market presence. “These acquisitions are instrumental in expanding our global footprint and service offerings across key regions while building a strong foundation of service expertise and customer relationships critical to delivering our superior drone-enabled solutions,” he said. “Our first Canadian acquisition and first in Illinois mark the beginning new chapters of expansion. Meanwhile we expect our continued expansion in the West, in Washington state and now Idaho, will position us for growth integrating new forestry, power generation, and mining drone-based services, in addition to existing infrastructure, and construction solutions.”

Growth in Surveying and Infrastructure Markets

Holt Surveying & Mapping, Inc., founded in 1985, operates across Washington state and Northern Idaho and serves customers in the construction and infrastructure sectors. With this acquisition, ZenaTech intends to expand Drone as a Service offerings in the region, with a focus on forestry, mining, and hydroelectric power generation. The company sees opportunities to introduce drone-based inspection and survey workflows that support efficiency and new applications.

Based in the Chicago area, Andrew Spiewak Land Surveyor, Inc. has provided land surveying and engineering consulting services for more than 30 years. The firm works with builders, architects, developers, and engineers across Illinois and the broader Midwest. ZenaTech stated that the acquisition offers a strong base to expand DaaS survey, inspection, and related services in the region.

First Canadian Acquisition Extends Service Portfolio

The Halifax, Nova Scotia commercial window washing company specializes in work on low- to mid-rise buildings and has over 15 years of operating history. The company said this acquisition provides a platform to expand land survey and inspection services in eastern Canada, while also supporting development of drone-based power washing offerings across the DaaS network.

ZenaTech describes its Drone as a Service model as a way for business and government clients to access drone-enabled inspection, surveying, maintenance, inventory management, and precision agriculture services without assuming ownership or operational burdens. According to the company, its strategy focuses on acquiring established service firms that can integrate drone technologies into existing operations to improve speed, safety, and data quality.

The company stated that this approach is helping to build a “global, multi-service DaaS network of locations in communities anchored by existing customers and revenue, for next generation drone integration designed for speed, precision, data, and safety benefits.”
