Steph Curry showed loved to Nike, Kobe Bryant and Drake through his sneaker choices ahead of the Golden State Warriors game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The basketball star paid tribute to the late Lakers star by wearing his “All-Star” Kobe 11s in the “Northern Lights” colorway during his warm-ups. Bryant wore the same pair during the Western Conference All-Stars in Toronto in 2016, his final NBA All-Star Game appearance, where Curry and Kobe Bryant were teammates.
The Kobe XI feature a sleek black Flyknit upper with a glowing green pop nods to the luminescence of the northern lights, a nod to Toronto’s status as host-city. The sneaker has unique molded leather detailing on the heel and the tongue gives the silhouette new dimensionality as part of the Nike basketball royalty collection.

The shoes also feature persian violet accents, a silver Swoosh, sculpted heel, and a green glow and persian violet sole. The shoes released in February 2016 and currently sold out on the Nike website. Curry was spotted wearing the sneakers during his warm-up ahead of the game and he wore them during the game.
Earlier in the day, he walked down the tunnel wearing another pair of Nike sneakers, this time in support of his longtime friend and Toronto native, Drake. He opted for the rapper’s Nike NOCTA Glide sneakers in the black and white colorway.

The Drake shoes are inspired by the Zoom Flight 95s with a signature NOCTA spin. The silhouette is designed with a textile upper that makes for a more breathable and lightweight shoe, and includes a Zoom Air bag in the forefoot, durable rubber, GTEK outsole tractions, translucent rubber outsole and combined with the custom NOCTA logo on tongue. The NOCTA Glide was a reference to the game of basketball and was made to be worn for lifestyle moments. The shoes are also sold out.
Curry is currently a sneaker free agent after his departure from Under Armour, ending a 12-year relationship with the brand. The basketball player is reportedly looking for a new home, while also exploring keeping the Curry Brand as a stand-alone brand.
